Policy on Health Awareness Events
Lotus Women's Clinic Â
Our health awareness events are part of our commitment to the wider community, because Her Health Matters beyond the walls of the clinic. These terms apply to everyone who registers for or attends an event organised by Lotus Women's Clinic. Specific details for each event, such as timing, age group and fees, will be shared at the time of announcement.
General conditions
-
Each event is planned for a particular audience, such as adolescent girls, expectant mothers, new parents or women in midlife. The intended age group will be mentioned in the announcement.
-
Where an event is meant for children or adolescents, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
-
Events are for awareness and education only. No medical consultation, diagnosis or treatment is provided during an event. For personal health concerns, please book an appointment.
-
The clinic may change the date, time, speakers or programme of an event where necessary, and will inform registered participants as early as possible.
Registration and fees
-
Most of our events are free. For events with limited seats, prior registration is required, and entry will be based on confirmed registration.
-
Where a fee is charged, it will be clearly mentioned at the time of registration, along with what it covers.
-
Registrations are personal and may not be transferred to someone else without informing the clinic.
-
If a paid event is cancelled by the clinic, the fee will be refunded in full, as stated in our Cancellation and Refund Policy (Section 8D). Fees are not refundable if a participant does not attend.
Conduct during events
-
All participants are expected to follow our Good Conduct Policy (Section 8F) and to be respectful towards speakers, staff and fellow participants.
-
Anyone behaving in a disruptive or disrespectful manner may be asked to leave, without refund.
-
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising the children who accompany them.
-
Outside food and pets are not permitted, unless stated otherwise for a particular event.
-
Participants are requested to park considerately and avoid inconvenience to neighbours.
Safety and personal belongings
-
The clinic takes reasonable care to keep events safe. Participants are asked to follow staff instructions, especially in an emergency.
-
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the safety of their children throughout the event.
-
The clinic is not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal belongings or vehicles.
Photographs and videos
-
Events may be photographed or recorded for use in our awareness materials, website and social media.
-
If you prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, please tell the event staff at the start, and we will make every effort to respect your wish.
-
Images of children, or of participants sharing personal health experiences, will not be published without specific consent.
Accessibility
-
We want our events to be open to everyone. If you need any assistance, such as wheelchair access or seating support, please let us know in advance so that we can make arrangements.
Cancellation for unavoidable reasons
An event may be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as severe weather, public health restrictions, a medical emergency involving the speaker or problems with the venue. Registered participants will be informed promptly, and any fees paid will be refunded or carried forward to the rescheduled event.
Right of admission
-
The clinic reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not follow these terms or our Good Conduct Policy. These terms may be updated from time to time, and the version on our website will apply.
